For most of the reads here, I say same stuff, new day. Most of it is sad, stupid, and even more than a little scary, but it is the world we live in today. Freedom is lost and the people, for the most part, don't give a damn. Personally I don't believe there is a way to regain what we've lost as a country other than a complete overthrow of the government. Of course that's not going to happen with so many people in this country hanging on the government's every whim and word. Harsh words maybe, but the fact remains that there is no two party system in this country anymore and voting just about any politician in right now is pointless, cause they're all the same in the end in that their only goal is gaining and/or keeping power for themselves. <br> <br> The one story I will comment on directly is Carrie Prejean. The gay mafia has stuck again...:) Seriously though, the cover story of not fullfilling her contract doesn't wash. Give some details about how exactly she wasn't fullfilling her contract and I might change my mind, but from I see so far this is more than likely due to opposition of her expressed beliefs on gay marriage. Personally I say this is a debate that has no place in the political or even the public arenas and it is very shameful that she has lost the title that she earned over this nonsense, but she stood her ground and stuck to her beliefs. So I say good for her; that's the type of character that is badly lacking in the world today.
