oh, and also, you must keep in mind that both Hospitals and Doctors give cash payment discounts anywhere from 20-50% in my experience. They also avoid running useless tests. <br> Example: My daughter has Hypothyroidism. The doctor said he normally does a CT scan to get a good look at the gland, but "it does not really tell us anything and it cost a lot of money, so we will just run some blood work and that should tell us what we need to know."
