We have been at war with North Korea since 1950, with an armistice since 1953. Last Wednesday North Korea withdrew from the armistice and declared, "The Korean peninsula will go back to a state of war." We need nobodys authority to fight a declared war against us, enforce an armistice, or a cease-fire agreement (like in Iraq).

The mad mullahs have waged open and covert war against the USA and Israel since they took over Iran (and invaded the US embassy, which is US soil). In the last two years most US casualties in Iraq, and some in Afghanistan were due to weapons supplied by Iran. When someone is killing your people you need no higher authority to kill them back until they meet your conditions for peace.

The only serious question is how many Americans are we going to let them kill before we fight back, and are we stupid enough to allow their nuke programs to continue?

Both will spread nukes and missile technology to anybody that hates us and can afford them. The nukes that hit us and Israel won't come from the PRK or Iran, they will come across our Southern border or off our coast, and across the Lebanese border in Israel's case.

The mess the mad mullah's make (I think the ROKs will clobber the norks, nukes or no, if they are dumb enough to try) if we take them down now, while they are still conventional, will make what we've seen so far in the GWOT look like a picnic (and will hit here), but it will be nothing like the mess, horror, and d*mnation of history and the survivors if we wait until the nukes start popping to fight back. Nobody's dumb enough to want war with a murderously fanatical government ruling three times the population of Iraq, but it's always been their choice, and they've chose war all along.

I won't apologize for my low tolerance for dead Americans before we start killing them back, mostly because that's the only surefire way to discourage killing Americans.

Apparently the chicoms have decided a nuclear Japan isn't a problem for them, none of the nukes will come their way and are content to sit back and watch. That's pretty risky for their nature, but it doesn't put it out of the question.
