I'll avoid picking through each list item here, but it seems many of the speakers have relevance to the venue either by name prominence alone or personal background/position to the specialty of the venue. I think this points more to the problem conservatives (including republicans) have. More liberals have their name "in the spotlight" now and therefore have more of a chance to spread their insights. If conservatism is to make a comeback then they need to work more on connecting with the people by playing the popular game (not their strong suit) or by representing policy change which speaks for the people. FAIRTAX!!
