I told most of my undecided or un-political friends ever since I became "politicaly aware" way back in the Nixon days that I you have no other reason to vote than the appointment of supreme court judges is reason enough.Most of america has no idea of the influence a president has on the country thru these appointments.We are still feeling the affects of appointees from 150 years ago,their rulings never go away.Thanks to the"gubernmnt skools" citizens have no friggin idea how the supreme court works, what it does and how it affects us.(just to throw this out there...I'm in favor of bringing back the draft because it FORCES citizens to pay attention to politics,if only for the selfish reasons that now they have a pPERSONAL stake in what government does.It don't get more personal than 18 mos. of active duty in a hot zone.)any comments are welcome.
