We allowed the government to move from a Republic to a Democracy<br> 4. Lower income folks learned they can vote property away from others<br> 5. It becomes more difficult to increase taxes because everyone would know<br> 6. Not being able to raise taxes easily makes it more difficult for special interests to get through<br> 7. Elected officials would earn less money/perks from lobbyists<br> 8. Elected officials would lose the ability to modify behavior using taxes<br> 9. Elected officials would lose the ability to debate tax policy during campaigns<br> 10. Because it makes too much sense
