Puerto Rico periodically votes on its relationship to the US. If they wanted statehood, they would have indicated that already by voting for it.<br> <br> The EU is playing a disingenuous game with Turkey. Instead of flatly rejecting Turkish membership, they find excuses to prolong their decision making. They have no intention of letting Turkey in, but they will continue to drag out the process for another 10-15 years before finally saying no.<br> <br> It's also not uncommon for world leaders to comment on the decisions of other countries. It happens all the time. It's like when the EU whines about Guantanamo Bay. Turnabout is fair play.
