In the early 80s, my husband and I had a Dodge van, standard shift on the steering wheel shaft. I'm 5'2 1/2" tall. When I drove the van, I had to be belted in or I fell off the seat while trying to reach the clutch/accelerator and break. Since then, I've always used a seat belt.<br> <br> Also, when my daughter was about three, she was going with some friends to Disney World. The driver started to go when she yelled: "Stop!! I need my seatbelt on!!" Train them right!!!
