What sort of economic system do you call it when industry, businesses and financial institutions are privately owned but government controlled?"<br> <br> It would be communism. Fascism as an ideology based more on social order and less on any one economic idea. Though it strongly, in most cases, advocates corporatism, the fascist idea of corporatism is much different than what a capitalist would say a corporation is. In fact fascism strongly objects to such things as communism and communists because it is an belief system that provides individuals with a collective identity different (possibly) than that of the fascist's desire for a collective national identity.<br> <br> According to Neal's original statement communism would be a much better analogous economic system.
