... as worthless as this idea may sound, We the People, are getting ourselves involved. I'll admit, sending a tea bag to a congressman, won't do the trick. Standing outside the capital en masse, and listening to great people, who are taking a stand, is effective.

You may think that sending a tea bag is wasteful... You are dead wrong on this. Sending a tea bag, as stupid as it sounds gets people engaged in a cause. It is a worthy cause, and if it takes something so stupid to engage people, who after they mail their teabags, may jump on the Internet, find out more about why they performed the stupid act of mailing a teabag, they just MAY talk to their neighbors, or co-workers, or group members about the cause...

You may think it is a waste of time, but i assure you the tea party concept is not a wasted cause.

It's THIS type of attitude that is the reason conservatism is in exile. Suggestion that someone who never participated in a cause before is wasting their time by exercising their free speech rights, is only going to deter people from participating.

This stupid act of sending a tea bag, gets those less informed talking, and learning about the political landscape.

So how is it a waste of time?
