The point of teabagging your congressmen, Neal, is that the citizens must act civil. The others have covered many of the reasons why the mailing of an actual bag of tea is pointless, and it is, but the tea parties being thrown are relevant symbols for the recapturing of our American ideals.<br> <br> Obviously, the patriotic citizens of this country are not going to walk and drag their bloody stumps to Washington...modern times, sir. Most citizens will not actually cause damage to government property either. Yet. For now we must worry about arrest, court, fines, jail.<br> <br> But the revolution (violent?) will come if the symbolic messages are ignored. This country is perched on the edge of the chasm of socialism that she has been fighting for nearly a hundred years. Her citizens will do what they can to drag her away if or when the situation necessitates.
