With both my wife and myself out work, we were looking forward to our tax refund to see us through, until we received it and it was only 10% of the expected amount. Apparently we owed back taxes from 4 years ago that we were never informed about and the IRS needed the money to help fund all the new stimulus. My family is so happy that in this economy and job market were able to contribute our share and be patriotic by paying all the penalties and interest. It was especially nice not having to worry about any pesky notices from the IRS that we had any tax issues. The kicker was when the IRS seized our state refund too, even though the amount taken from our fed return covered the amount owed. I guess if all the Obama appointees had to pay their back taxes everyone needs too. Change you can believe in!
