Last night on Hannity, Rove explained that this whole Pelosi/aircraft thing is a security safeguard, since she is 3rd in line to the Presidency. Dennis Hastert and Pelosi both had this perk under Bush, and it is nothing new under the new President. The real issue is that in standard cases, Pelosi has to take a plane that makes a fuel stop half way to California, and she wants a jet that flies non-stop, of which there are very few. Yes, its a little much, but you can't really rail her for having government-paid transportation.
