Yes AWK - I know exactly what marginal tax rates are. If I make $251,000, I pay $330 in income tax on that $1000 over the threshold. Maybe a lot people do not understand the stepped structure of the tax rates, but I think almost everyone posting here does know. I agree that a couple of people do not understand it from what I've read today<br> For many of us we are talking about a form of protest here. It can add up to a substantial loss of tax dollars to Uncle if a whole lot of people deliberately "dumb down" their income by just a couple thousand dollars - call it a tea party of sorts.
