As for a couple of the regular LIBS ( you know who you are) these folks are not serious, their only arguement is the same old tired remarks. Did Bush do things I didn't like? Your damn skippy. However, up until it was clear Obama would win, my 401k was doing good. Bush and several other people tried to warn Congress about the housing problem, (oh sorry, brought truth into this). Get off the old arguements, it only makes you look stupid!<br> <br> When the Republicans were in charge they started out great, then 9/11 and they used that spend like drunken saliors. <br> <br> Now hold on, for you LIBS that like to talk about the last eight years, Dems had control of the congress and did nothing to correct any of it, not to mention that under their watch gas more then doubled in price. Then in 2008 a majority of voters (not the majority of Americans, big difference)not only gave LIBS control of congress again, but gave us Obama. Why? Because they made all these speeches about how they were going to clean things up and get rid of the so called last 8 years. How? By doubling goverment spending AGAIN! By raising taxes. By making rules and breaking them as soon as they could.<br> <br> Folks, pointing finger time is over. Some of you think that this is all leading to some pie in the sky life style. <br> <br> Two thoughts:<br> <br> 1) Have you thought about it, most of this stimulas doen't kick in till 2010. Now over the years, the market has and will again correct itself and this is not differant. Will you tell me that it was the GRAND STIMULAS PLAN that did it? I thought we needed it now, not in two years.<br> <br> 2) I have been working hard and doing what is right and looking forward to retirement. Now it looks as if I may have to put that of indefinitely. WHY? Because congress did not take to heart the warnings of many people and my 401k in now a 101b.<br> <br> I have looked at and read the stimulas bill. Take away the talk radio and tv hype and the politics and I don't care who you are, if you don't choke on the stupidity of it then you deserve what we are all about to recieve!
