I am considered "middle-class" and have definately noticed how much my tax burden has decreased under the Bush Tax cuts. I think many earners in America have bought the line that those tax cuts were only for the rich - and haven't noticed how it has also helped them. If the Bush Tax Cuts are repealed or if they expire, everyone will instantly have a tax hike, not just the rich. And then Obama's going to give me back $1,000 as a tax cut? Not anywhere close to the tax cuts I have received over the past 5 years.
