Interesting! But what happens when non-sea ice melts? Glaciers, that is my worry... lots of water that is not in the ocean but is going to be (glaciers contain over 2% of all earth's fresh water). If a substantial amount melts sea levels will rise. Also, if a substantial amount melts, that is a lot of freshwater the planet loses. Perhaps Boortz can conduct an experiment where you poor melted ice water into the bowl. Outcome...
