The way I understood it from what little research I've done on this tax cut is that my income tax withholdings would be reduced by removing parts of the payroll taxes. The idea being that if everyone got a raise from the government we would be more likely to spend it than save it or use it to pay down debt, unlike the $600 stimulus check. From what I heard it sounded good, I must have missed something, this sounds a lot like what Neal was suggesting with the suspension of the income tax for 2 months, the difference here is that it would be reducing income taxes over several months and not eliminating them.<br> <br> But I must have been overly optimistic about it wanting it to be good news.<br> <br> Still you got to admit its better than the government spending the money directly.<br> <br> However Neal is right when he says that no matter what they do all they are doing is passing the burden onto the next generation. If its tax cuts or increased spending the money has to come from someplace and apparently we are taking it from our kids and grandkids.
