Neal, <br> Your suggested experiment involving the ice cube is correct.... Melting sea ice will not raise sea levels, BUT melting land-based ice will. Sea ice levels will fluctuate, but when we start seeing land-based ice disappearing, thats when we should take notice. By Forrest
