The AIRLINES dont need to be bailed out. As already stated, let them hang on to their antiquated business models and fail (yes, I AM an airline employee). What money really needs to be spent on are the airports and facilities. Congestion is a huge problem, especially in the Philly/NY areas. <br> <br> As for "shoddy service" ... I know you people think the airlines dont care, and you're right. I dont give one hoot about you. On the other hand, I'm not going out of my way to see to it you have a bad day. So many factors go into even getting a plane off the ground that its amazing any of them are on time. Weather, maintenance, crew issues (pilots are some of the biggest whiners I have ever met), equipment outages, congestion, ATC delays, etc, etc, etc. Here's a hint ... if we cancel or delay something, there is a damn good reason. Take the bus if you dont like to fly.
