For months, the funds have been dwindling. The CEO's have been whining. The usual rhetoric is still being spewed by the UAW. Corporate jets fly to Washington. Full page ads are bought in newspapers.

Maybe I've missed something, but when have all potentially affected parties called for or have conducted brainstorming sessions to get serious about saving themselves?

A turkey's brain is 2% of body weight, they suffer a 70% mortality rates, and they will drown themselves in the rain by looking toward the sky until they are fully saturated. Apparently those in charge of the big 3, as well as those who work for them, are suffering similar issues that threaten their own existence. They are doing nothing to prevent their own demise.

Whatever happened to pride in this country? Have things gone so far downhill in this nation, that begging for money is the only way to solve financial woes?

Every single man, woman, and child in this nation today owes $35,018.94 as their part of the national debt. This is insane. This must stop. It is not the Government's job to save private enterprise, regardless of the negative impact it may have on a select segment of the population.

Giving the big 3 so much as a dime will only be akin to giving cash to someone with a severe gambling problem. They will likely head straight to the casino to bet it all. Before we know it, they will be knocking on the door, asking for more.

It's time for the big three and all those who will be directly or indirectly affected, to work the situation out themselves. The American people are not the Department of Welfare, nor are we Bank of America.

File bankruptcy and buy the time to fix the problems that have plagued the American auto industry for at least the past two decades, or suffer the consequences and understand that some things simply are not worth saving.
