As a child, one year my sis got a brand new bike. The next year, I got one. There was no problem, because we knew our folks could only afford so much and we were happy to receive whatever presents they could get us. Bicycles are terrific gifts for any age, and I applaud you for not some computer-related, "stay indoors" present. Too bad that thievery has grown so rampant. I guess ours was a more trusting generation back in the 50s and 60s. Mistrust has somehow removed a lot of the innocence I reflect fondly upon.
