Neal, I think it's awesome that you're giving bikes away to kids. A lot of people would choose a Playstation or trendy computer game as a gift to a random kid, but that's probably the last thing kids need these days. Your gift will give them a taste of freedom and self reliance. Having a bike is the same as having the ability to go places that your feet can't take you without having to beg a ride off a parent. At the same time, it requires responsibility. You have to maintain it and keep track of it. That's exactly what a kid should have!<br> <br> One suggestion... be sure to also provide a lock and helmet, as these are necessary in most places.<br> <br> Merry Christmas!
