I have two nephews that have just finished medical school. One owes 180,000 in student loans and the other 165,000. I have no idea how long it will take them to pay these loans off. The nut cases want students to give back to the community! Many doctors would do so by charging lower rates based on ability of the patient to pay but Federal Law prohibits this. If a doctor agrees to accept Medicare patients he must by law charge the same rates to every patient. He has no choice. So much for affordable health care.
