I find this whole issue of fillibuster moot, prior to 2006 when republicans had majority in senate, democrats had the fillibuster right, which is merely a issue allowing them to debate, it cannot over ride a majority vote of 51, and unless one has the presidential veto which they had it is meaningless, so fillibuster was a moot issue, but when republicans had power they threatened to use the nuclear option, changing the senate rules on fillibuster to 51 to end a fillibuster instead of the 60, which chaning any senate rule needs only 51, with 58 democrats could if they really cared about the fillibuster issue change the rules which would kind've be funny in a way in that it brings to mind "beware what you wish for", since it was the republicans whom threatened the use of this nuclear option as they called it, but with democatic president a veto on a democrat legislative issue is unlikely, so let the blow hards in right have their moment to rant and rave like Boortz does 24/7, changes nothing, has no effect on anything, but lets them vent their ideas, views, which I believe for last 8 years have proven them unfit to administer even a dog catchers position in government!
