If you invent a great technological advance, or make smart business moves, do you not deserve that money? Why do the government and others deserve such a large percentage of income when it was your hands, brain and heart that made this money? No, people do not "need" 12 cars but most of the people I see with excessive amounts of cars, homes etc, are celebrities and lottery winners not regular joe bloke who worked hard to climb the ladder. I'm not saying people who work min. wage don't work hard, its not that. Its that they don't work hard to get OUT of it. There are so many programs that were unavailable before if you just LOOK LOOK LOOK. Find something you can do well and "exploit" your ability.<br> Hershey chocolate went bankrupt 2 (possibly 3) times before succeeding! <br> You have to be willing to fail and continue to try. We can't all "win" at the game, but you're definitely not going to if you sit on your butt complaining about the "idle rich".<br> <br> I knew a man who died with (at least) 2 million dollars in assets. He made almost 200,000 a year for the past 20 odd years. No one had any idea, he lived in a 800$ a month 2 br apartment, had a TV from 1992 (we told him so many times to throw it away, it barely works), donated to worthy charities. He was the kindest most generous man I knew who lived WELL within his means.<br> He disagreed with the tax system, and if you tried to tell me he was greedy I would probably wallop you one as would anyone who knew him. <br> <br> P.S. I kept the TV as a reminder. As he said, its the ride not the result thats the most enjoyable.
