Since the late 1980's, Aids activists and health organizations (including the CDC) have estimated the number of HIV infections at 1 million. Even though people are living longer when infected, the number is always a nice, round 1 million. Search the CDC documents and you will see a pattern.<br> <br> The activists learned that if you make the number large enough (and the news media don't do their job of researching the numbers) the money will roll in.
