For as long as I can remember...and I can remember back before the Kennedy-Nixon debates....I have had to endure listening to leftish/liberal politicians ask "Why are we spending Federal dollars on THIS (whatever 'this' happened to be)when we should be feeding hungry children?....Senator Bernie Sanders is one of the worst at doing this.....and given how fat/plump/chubby/corpulent most kids in America seem to be becoming these days,I can't for the life of me figure out just which 'hungry children' these clowns are talking about....One thing I do know...given the abundance of our annual harvests and the number of both private and public food assistance programs there are in the US,any 'hungry children' out there are probably only about 20 steps away from their next junk food snack in the kitchen.<br> <br> "Sure,I've been hungry before...but I always went straight to a good restaurant."<br> <br> ~Ring Lardner~
