We're learning more about Major Nidal Hasan. We now know that many of his colleagues
thought that he was dangerous. They thought
he might go postal. They couldn't fire
him though.Why not?Because he was a Muslim .. and they didn't
want to go through all of that "discrimination" nonsense. So ... 13 people are dead.PC dead.
A listener sent this to me.Now I don't know whether this is true or not, but I've received hundreds
of emails containing this little gem.So
... if I post it on Nealz Nuze maybe the emails will slow down.Fact is, if this didn't happen at Aggieland,
it happened somewhere.Someone came up
with this definition, and whoever they are they are to be congratulated ... or,
as Floridia's prized Congresswoman Corrine Brown says, "Gradulated."
Every year at Texas A&M they do a contest to come up
with the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. This year's term was one of my favorites:
political correctness.Here is the
winning definition ...
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical
minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds
forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the
clean end."
We can expect more stories like this, folks. Our country is becoming so wussified, so afraid of offending someone, that we are willing to sacrifice common sense.
A marching band from Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, Michigan was selected to play in the inaugural parade in Washington. That's great. Now, the official name of this band from Roosevelt High School is The Wyandotte Marching Chiefs high school band. Well when you turn on the tube to watch the inaugural parade, don't expect to see The Wyandotte Marching Chiefs high school band. They will be marching under a different name, the Roosevelt High School Marching Band. And you can probably guess why they had to change the name ... because the word "chiefs" is offensive to American Indians.
The band will have to sew patches over their logos on their uniform sleeves and they will not be able to carry their Marching Chiefs banner.
The decision actually came from the band's director after he received a letter from a group that opposed the use of American Indian nicknames and logos. He says that he didn't want to bring any negative publicity to the school. Yeah, and if I applied that thought process to my own show .. I would have been out of a job ages ago.
Carleton University is in Ottawa, Canada. At Carleton the students participate in the annul Shinearama fundraiser. This is an annual fundraising event involving students from 65 colleges and universities across Canada. Carleton has been involved for 25 of the 50 years of the Shinearama; but no longer.
The Shinearama, you see, has been raising money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. That's not good, at least insofar as the Carleton University Student's Association is concerned. The student association was told that Cystic Fibrosis only affects white people. This meant that the disease was not inclusive enough. So ... Carleton University is out. Now these bright students have figured out that Cystic Fibrosis actually affects some people of color - and they're looking for a way to get out of this mess.
If they hadn't been so politically correct they wouldn't be there in the first place. Idiots.
