In case you missed it, here's the jump we were talking about this morning.

First time in five year's I've taken two weeks off like this. Last week was spent at the Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Arizona ... now we're in Las Vegas looking for the best spot to view the synchronized New Year's Eve fireworks up and down the strip. Then it's back to reality and getting ready for PEBO to morph into POTUS. Needless to say, it's going to be rather interesting hosting a talk show with someone living in the White House who earnestly believes that America is great because of government.

So .. to whet your appetite for my return one week from today ..... some insensitive thoughts for you.

• Thus far I haven't been invited to take part in the inauguration. I guess I know where I stand with the upcoming administration.

• Have you signed up to be a Media Matters whistleblower? Oh yes indeedy! You can spy on your local hate-filled, evil-to-the-core conservative radio talk show host and report on all of his or her misdeeds to the watchdogs at George Soros' Media Matters! • The Supreme Court has turned down all cases claiming Obama isn't a natural-born citizen of the United States. Next up; Obama is actually an alien who participated in the design and building of the pyramids on his first trip to Earth. This conspiracy theory might actually appeal to the liberal desire to deify Obama anyway.

• It snowed in Las Vegas yesterday. Bit time. Most snow in 30 years. This global warming is turning out to be a real boon to makers of cold weather clothing. The warmers have an answer though .. they say that the cold weather is proof of global warming. What's worse, idiots then not their heads and say "yeah, that's right. Told you so."

• Try to do something for some children who are not going to have a Christmas without your intervention. Forget how good it makes those kids feel ... you'll be surprised at how good it makes YOU feel.

• Why are more listeners concerned about whether or not short hair in women means a decreasing interest in sex than are concerned about the current state of our economy?

• Brit Hume is retiring. Well... sort of retiring. He's leaving Special Report as of Christmas Eve. To put this succinctly, that sucks. There was no better news program on the air, and I don't know who they could find to replace him. Well wait, maybe I do. Just let me fill in for one night .. and a star will be born. Trouble is, I don't want a TV show.

• Someone sent me a neti pot. Good thing I read the directions before I tried to use the thing. Almost made a horrible mistake. But hey ... I'm the idiot who for several years thought that Stein Mart was a giant store that sold German beer steins. No, I'm not kidding.
