We'll certainly have some discussion on this today. Suffice it to say for these notes ... when I went to bed last night (after a particularly fun party) I didn't know the name of the shooter. I told my wife that it was my guess the shooter would turn out to be a Muslim. Well .. this morning we're treated to the name ... the shooter was Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan. Doesn't sound like a Deacon in the local Baptist church to me. It seems that Major Hasan had some problems with American foreign policy. So ... let's just shoot up some soldiers. According to a fellow soldier this Muslim (I'm guessing) goon said that Muslims had a right to rise up attack America. Word is that he is actually a convert to Islam. More news expected today.

We've been real fortunate here. Our intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been getting the job done. Here are some quick links to several ISLAMIC terrorist plans to kill innocent Americans.

Plot to bomb an office building in Dallas. This MUSLIM goon actually tried to push the button.

In Illinois we have a man who took the name of Talib Islam arrested in a plot to bomb federal offices.

Here we have two men targeting the Marine Corps base at Quantico, Virginia.

So far, so good. The trouble is, the ISLAMIC terrorists only need to get lucky once, and many Americans will be dead.

OK .. so we caught a bunch of these MUSLIM maniacs before they managed to actually kill hundreds of Americans. But is that really a good thing? I'm really worried about something here. Just how did we get the information that led to these arrests? Did we take someone into custody who knew of the plans? If so, how did we get the information from them? Let's cut to the chase: Was anyone tortured to get this information? Was anyone deprived of sleep? My God! I sure hope not. You don't think they poured water on someone to make them think they are drowning, do you? It's all well and good that we can capture these MUSLIM murderers before they kill more Americans, but it's just not worth it if someone loses a little sleep or gets wet. We need to get our priorities straight here.

More about those three ISLAMIC terror plots that have been exposed. Did you know that in each case the MUSLIM goons have been charged them with a plot to kill Americans using ... now get this ... "weapons of mass destruction."

So, just what types of weapons were these MUSLIM terrorists going to use? The evidence seems to be that they were thinking about putting hydrogen peroxide-based explosives into backpacks where they could be triggered by cell phones. There is also a report that they tried at one point to rent a truck. There's another story out there about a foiled MUSLIM terrorist plot in Illinois. Wolf Blitzer told us last night that the suspect actually tried to push the button on a truck bomb. Blitzer specifically referred to this as a "weapon of mass destruction."

What's the big point here? Well .. the constant media use of the "weapons of mass destruction" phrase. Really? Is that what these ISLAMIC terrorist suspects were going to use? Maybe it's just me, but all this time I thought that the phrase applied to nuclear and chemical or biological weapons. I guess I was wrong, and if this is the actual description of a "weapon of mass destruction," then guess what? We DID, in fact, find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Under the definition currently being used, every car bomb and every IED was a weapon of mass destruction. President Bush said they were there ... we went there to find them ... and find them we did!

So .. the next time some leftist moonbat starts in on this "where were the weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq bit ... you know what to do.

President Obama has finally decided to take the reins and steer this healthcare debate. Next Wednesday he is going to address a joint session of Congress. This will be the first address to a joint session of Congress since President Bush gathered the clowns together after the 9/11 ISLAMIC terrorist attacks.

Clearly, Democrats in Congress haven't done all that great of a PR job when it comes to selling their healthcare plan. The hope is that PrezBO still has enough star power left to muster some support. Is he going to advocate a government option? Probably not. At this point, too much is riding on the success or failure of healthcare reform - the remainder of Obama's presidency, for example -- and a government option seems absolutely doomed for failure. That's a good thing because the government option was merely a not-so-suave way of getting to single-payer, and single payer means absolute government control.

There's that word again! CONTROL! My guess is that whatever you hear from Mr. Government next week, control of your health care will be hidden in the details. This, after all, is the goal. At the end this is all an exercise aimed to making sure that Democrats never lose control of the congress again. To get that sort of a grip on power they need an inseparable grip on you. Controlling your access to and paying for your health care would do it. So ... onward.

As soon as Obama plays his cards we'll get back into the game.

By the way ... did I mention that the 9/11 attackers were MUSLIMS?

By the time you read this Barack Obama will have made his great speech from Cairo. I have to draw up these notes before the speech is over ... so some guesswork here.

Somehow I don't think he's going to repeat his nonsensical "America is the largest Muslim country in the world" bit ... and he might even refrain from bowing and scraping to the Islamic world. Literally, anyway; figuratively ... well, that's another story. Yesterday PrezBO he met with the King of Saudi Arabia where he got the chance to show off his stellar abs with all the bowing and leaning ... remember, Obama is taller than the King of Saudi Arabia so he has to "lean." Oh yeah .. that's it. He's leaning. OK, I got it.

This time around, everyone is wondering how Obama is going to represent America. Will it be a fawning apology tour? Will he present an image of America as apologetic and weak? These are some strong-willed people he's dealing with ... they can smell weakness miles away. It should be no surprise that there are some leftists out there who believe that Obama SHOULD apologize while in the Middle East. You'll get a kick out of this. This is from Dan Froomkin at the Washington Compost (that's what Oliver North calls it):

Disparaging President Obama's overseas trip as an "Apology Tour", some conservative critics are trying to make the argument that being a powerful champion of liberty and admitting mistakes are somehow mutually exclusive.

But particularly as Obama addresses the Muslim world tomorrow morning in Cairo, he has plenty to apologize for. The entire neoconservative "war on terror" that was supposed to strike fear in the hearts of our enemies instead backfired spectacularly, turning into what some saw as a failed and contemptible war on Islam -- complete with torture chambers -- at enormous cost to our nation's security and moral standing.

For Obama to undo even some of that damage, which is a tall order, of course he needs to acknowledge what went wrong.

Yeah ... that's how to portray strength. Apologize for defending ourselves.

Now .. I will say this. While preparing my morning notes I have been able to eavesdrop on Obama's speech. What I've heard ... and I haven't heard it all ... is impressive. Analysis takes some time ... but my guess is that the media is generally going to give him stellar marks on this one. Finally, later yesterday afternoon, the media came around. At least, some of the media. Finally we get headlines identifying this Army recruiter shooter as a Muslim. Or more precisely, a "Muslim convert." Overall the media has been pretty mum on the subject. But it turns out that the suspect Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad is a homegrown terrorist. He's a radical Muslim. He attacked the army recruiters earlier this week "because of what they had done to Muslims in the past." It also turns out that this radical lowlife was under investigation by the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force after he had traveled to Yemen with a Somali passport.

This means that this goon's attack on those two soldiers outside that Arkansas recruiting center was an Islamic terrorist attack.

Today we're learning that this Islamic goon had a list of other targets he wanted to hit on his computer. How many more like him are there out there? My guess? More than you could be comfortable with.

Perhaps the strongest message to come from Obama's speech was his remarks about the peace-loving religion of Islam. Obama said:

"We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you....

To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West--know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist."

Good stuff ... especially that "we will defeat you" line. Now, how do we do that by pulling our troops out of Iraq before victory is assured? Just wondering.

Muslims ... still the champs when it comes to being outraged.  Nice to know the postal workers have calmed down. 

This story is from Great Britain.  But it is only a matter of time before it becomes a reality in your child's government school.  The Greenwood Junior School .. I assume that is the equivalent to an elementary school .. sent out a letter to the parents: Christmas is canceled because we want to celebrate a Muslim holiday instead.

The three day festival of Eid al-Adha .. whatever that is .. will take place between December 8^th and 11^th.  Since a lot of students were going to be off from school for Eid, the school thought that the traditional nativity play scheduled for later in the month would be too taxing.  The staff of the Greenwood Junior School says, "It is with much regret that we have had to cancel this year's Christmas performances. This is due to the Eid celebrations that take place next week and its effect on our performers."

After some parents complained, the school had to send out another letter saying that Christmas hasn't been canceled; only postponed.  They will be doing their Christmas play in January. 

The Organization of the Islamic Conference is an international organization with a permanent delegation to the United Nations.  Well the OIC is upset that the media is referring to Islam when reporting on the terrorist attacks in India.  I've said it before folks, not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslim.  This is the world according to the OIC:

With the multiplicity of terrorist attacks perpetrated recently by deviant and fanatic individuals, the General Secretariat of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has noticed a tendency of a section of the media, to interpose the word "Islam" in reporting these incidences.

Islam, the religion of peace, tolerance and compassion, that sanctifies the human soul, and whose universal message is one of mutual peaceful coexistence among all the peoples of the world, regardless of their ethnicities, race, religions or languages, and which calls for kind reasoning and dialogue with all their fellow human beings, abhors and despises all such criminal acts and had enacted the utmost severe punishment for their perpetrators.

It is frustrating to see some circles, still, maliciously trying to establish conceptual link between such evil and wicked practices and Islam, the religion that condemns, scorns and outlaws them.

It is on the premise of this irrefutable fact that we, in the OIC, call upon all well-intentioned peoples of the world, not to give to these criminals any right to present Islam, a right that Islam itself denies them. Those who refer to the perpetrators, as acting on behalf of Islam, help them by offering them justification, anchor and premise that they don't have or deserve. On the other hand, the generalization of the guilt of a few aberrant misguided individuals, to engulf the adherents of a religion of 1.5 billion followers is an outrageous judgment and amounts to an illegal collective punishment on a global scale. Moreover, any attempt to implicate all Muslims in such a wicked and wanton acts goes contrary to the well established principles of international law.

It is therefore hoped that media will avoid resorting to any reference to Islam when narrating such events in order not to disseminate erroneous information that might jeopardize the basic human rights of Muslims, the world over.

So there you go.  How long until the United Nations makes it illegal for news agencies to refer to terrorists as Islamic terrorists?

Unless you spent the weekend in a six-pack or you don't watch anything except Entertainment Tonight or Sabado Gigante, Muslim terrorists were at it again last week.  The Muslims went to Mumbai (f/k/a Bombay) India and managed to murder perhaps as many as 300 people.  Eyewitnesses say the Muslims were specifically targeting American, British and Jewish travelers (i.e. whites) in those luxury hotels.  Typically, the media simply referred to the killers as "terrorists" throughout the siege.  Sorry, but "terrorist" is only half a word.  Until experience and reality teaches us differently, the first half of that word is either "Islamic" or "Muslim."

Apparently there were ten Muslims involved in this attack.  One has been captured.  His name is Azam Amir Kasab.  He's 21-years-old.  He's from Pakistan.  Who knows how many he killed - but when he was captured he started pleading for his own life.  He says that these attacks had been planned for months.  All of the men involved were trained in marine warfare.  Their main objective was to "target whites, preferably Americans and British."  Spare the Muslims.  There are accounts of hostages who had to prove to the terrorists that they were Muslim by reciting passages from the Koran or dropping their pants to see whether or not they were circumcised. 

This is our reminder that Islamic radicals are still out there, still capable of mounting sophisticated attacks, and still desirous of killing as many Americans as they possibly can. 

I do have a question though.  I thought that once Barack Obama was elected the world would love us again?  What went wrong?  Do we have to wait until he's sworn in?  Well, we'll see how that works out. 

By the way .. I did some Internet searching.  I found a few stories about prayer vigils for the Mumbai victims of Islamic terrorists --- but none held at Mosques.  Not surprised, frankly.
