HILLARY SPILLS THE BEANS

It's not often that we hear the painful truth from a Democrat .. much less Hillary Clinton. But it seems that Hillary forgot the power of the Internet and the ability of her comments to spread like wildfire no matter where she speaks. It also seems that Hillary feels free to be more candid in her public statements abroad than she does in this country. Here I am talking about this gem from a Pakistani newspaper. Hillary actually admits that "We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn't move, and that's not what we see in Pakistan."

Funnily enough, Hillary actually seems to think this a bad thing. There are a lot of politicians in Washington these days that wouldn't agree. More taxes means more power and more control and more dependency. Remember ...under the Washington method of accounting every single penny of your earnings are considered as belonging to the government. Any of your earnings you are allowed to keep are referred to as "tax expenditures." In the Democrat's big government eye YOU belong to government (hence the government's ability to tell you that you must buy health insurance) ... as does everything you earn.

The Supreme Court is hearing an interesting case at the moment over campaign finance laws. Now ... if you are a regular listener to the Neal Boortz Show, you will know that I am not a fan of campaign finance reform. McCain-Feingold. When in doubt, I default to freedom. And in this case, I am talking about the freedom to contribute whatever you choose to whomever you choose.

The case currently being heard are concerns a political film, "Hillary: The Movie." The movie was produced by Citizens United, a non-profit group, but the funds to produce the movie were donated by corporations. Let's face it, the movie wasn't kind to Hillary Clinton. Then again, she's not what you would call a kind person anyway. Anyway ... the movie was blocked from being aired by the Federal Election Commission because it believed to be violating campaign finance restrictions. The FEC cited that the sole purpose of the documentary was "to inform the electorate that Senator Clinton is unfit for office, that the United States would be a dangerous place in a President Hillary Clinton world and that viewers should vote against her." And the problem is??

Think about this: How many anti-Bush movies were out there during his campaigns? Remember that slug Michael Moore? Corporate money funded those films as well. Where was the FEC while Moore was spreading his venom?

The justices don't seem to be buying it. Based on the line of questioning, it seems like the justices believe laws banning corporations and unions from buying TV ads for political candidates discriminates against the first amendment rights of mom and pop businesses.

John McCain wasn't too thrilled to hear about this. He says, "The questioning shows a real disconnect, a strong disconnect between the justices and political reality ... I wish that one of the justices who were standing up for people's First Amendment rights had ever run for county sheriff. He says that the justices showed an "extreme naiveté of the influence of corporate money and soft money."

IMAGINE IF THIS WERE A REPUBLICAN

Hillary Clinton says that last week's deadly bombings in Iraq are a sign that extremists are afraid that the Iraqi government is succeeding.

Know what? Hillary may be right. But this is something only a Democrat can say. Imagine if a Republican had tried to explain that bombings in Iraq were a sign of progress. Wouldn't fly.

Hillary gave a short little speech the other day about the pirate situation off the coast of Somalia. Just take a quick look at the video and tell me what you think is going through this woman's mind.

AMATEUR HOUR

So let's talk for a minute about the latest gaffes of the Obama administration. The first thing that comes to mind is Obama's treatment of UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Last week, Brown visited the White House for an official state visit. There was no grandiose press conference. There was one planned, to be sure, but it was downgraded to a press avail in the Oval Office. There was also no official state dinner. Then we have the Obama gift gaffe. Prime Minister Brown gave Obama a really remarkable gift, a pen holder carved from the timbers of an old British anti-slavery ship, and first edition of a seven-volume biography of Winston Churchill. Not bad. Not a Bentley, but not bad. So just what did our president give to Prime Minister Brown in return? Are you sitting down? Obama's gift to Brown was a box set of DVDs. Something about 25 great American movies - on a DVD format I understand doesn't work across the pond. Excuse me, but what the hell was that gift all about? That's something I would give a co-worker for Christmas ... one I didn't particularly care all that much about; and Obama makes this a state gift to the leader of our most important ally?

OK ... gifts. Big deal. I know that there are more important things to worry about right now .. like the fact that Iran is launching test missiles and keeping tract of PrezBO's teleprompter .. but this made us look like uncultured trailer trash.

We're not through though. Then there was Hillary's Clinton's gift to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. She tried to bring him a red "reset button" to symbolize an improvement in ties between the US and Russia .. but the Russian word on the button was mistranslated. It actually read "overcharge." Whoops.

But this one has to be my favorite. Hillary visited Brussels last week and spoke to EU leaders. And at the meeting, she claimed that United States democracy was older than Europe's. She said, "I have never understood multiparty democracy ... It is hard enough with two parties to come to any resolution, and I say this very respectfully, because I feel the same way about our own democracy, which has been around a lot longer than European democracy."

Athens? Greece? My God woman? Are you really this dense? Don't answer that. What would the Hildabeast do if you tried to tell her that America is not even supposed to BE a democracy? I truly don't think her intellect could handle that bulletin.

PALESTINIAN STATE?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is over there in the Middle East pushing the Palestinian state idea again. This just isn't going to happen folks. The Arab Muslim world does not want one. The so-called "Palestinians" (Arafat was an Egyptian) are cannon fodder for the Arab world's hatred of and fight against Israel. They will never permit a solution that does not cripple Israel.

SANJAY GUPTA?

Now here's an interesting Obamapointment. CNN's Sanjay Gupta for Surgeon General. In the balance, I like it. OK, so Dr. Gupta was an advisor to Hillary Clinton many moons ago during her health care debacle. Was he the one who suggested to Hillary that Americans should be jailed if they try to use their own private funds to purchase health care? That would be a negative. On the positive side, virtually everyone loves Sanjay Gupta. Dr. Stud. Come on folks .. this guy is covering the war against Islamic terrorism in Iraq for CNN when suddenly he dons the scrubs and is performing surgery on an injured soldier? This comes close to my fantasy of taking over the controls of a commercial airliner full of Miss American contestants on their way to Las Vegas after the flight crew passes out. (Damn right I could land it.) Dr. Gupta would be uniquely positioned to address the health problems facing Americans - especially the obesity epidemic - because of his broad public appeal.

HILLARY AS SECRETARY OF STATE

My how the tables are turning.  During the election, Royal and I were on opposite sides of the spectrum .. he was an Obamabot and I was a McCainite.  Now that Obama has begun his transition, I have become more optimistic while Royal is beginning to show some doubts.

So Hillary officially gets the nod to be Obama's Secretary of State.  Wow, how much fun is this going to be?

Ok so I have already been getting the emails about this one too.  Apparently you people who were all bent out of shape about Obama's birth certificate have deviated for a moment to tell me that Hillary can't legally be Secretary of State.  Yes I know, the Constitution says, "No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office."  Guess what?  It hasn't stopped presidents before and it isn't going to stop Obama now.

The question is .. what will be done with her Senate seat?  Bill Clinton?  Oh yeah .... That's going to happen.  How about Hannity?

THE CAST OF CHARACTERS IS LINING UP

How are your preparing for life under nationalized healthcare? It is coming quicker than you think, folks. I'm talking within the first 100 days of a Barack Obama administration ... you will get exactly what you voted for. Obama has tapped former Senator Tom Daschle to be his Secretary of Health and Human Services. Beyond that, Daschle will also serve as the White House "health czar." He will be the key in healthcare legislation.

The announcement couldn't come at a more perfect time. Last week, Senator Max Baucus introduced his plan for healthcare reform - similar to Obama's but making it illegal for you to be without health insurance. Somewhere in the Constitution Baucus has found a clause which states that the Imperial Federal Government can order citizens to buy things. If this is OK for health insurance, why not just solve this whole automobile mess right now by requiring every citizen to buy a Ford, Chevy or Chrysler?

On Monday we have Ted Kennedy coming back to Washington and vowing to make healthcare legislation his priority. On Tuesday Kennedy asked Hillary Clinton to be a key player in drafting healthcare legislation. Yeah .. that really worked out for us before, didn't it? And yesterday we have a meeting of the minds in Washington to begin drawing up official plans. Not to mention Daschle's selection.

Max Baucus says, "I think we have to move very quickly ... We have to seize the opportunity, build momentum, because it's difficult to anticipate what else is going to come up next year." I'll tell you what is coming next year, a country that is in no way ready to pay for the costs of a government healthcare system. Remember that Obama's healthcare plan is estimated to cost $75 billion in the first year alone.

There is one industry that has jumped on the bandwagon. The health insurance industry. They say they will support a requirement to accept all customers, despite any pre-existing medical conditions, if lawmakers mandate that everyone buy healthcare coverage. Everyone buys into the system. Prices go up because health insurance is forced to cover chronic medical conditions. Government sets price limits on the insurance industry because it would be unfair to charge more. The evil rich are denied any tax breaks for medical coverage, perhaps even taxed, in order to pay for the medical coverage of the many. Do you see how this is working out, folks?

Just remember this ... all of this ... all of this nationalized health care talk ... is about one thing. Gaining more control over you. Nothing more. When politicians control your health care they have you by the short hairs. Get the picture?

No I am not talking about Condi Rice. The Guardian in the UK is reporting that Hillary Clinton will be our secretary of state under an Obama administration. Don't expect me to rant about this one. Look; she's going to be a lot better than John Kerry, he of the band-aide Purple Hearts. I would have picked John Bolton .. but then I couldn't get elected so who I would have picked really doesn't amount to a hill of garbanzo beans.
