OBAMA'S TIES TO ACORN RESURFACE

Considering the latest headlines about ACORN, the organization has come under a lot of scrutiny. And with that scrutiny comes a topic that I touched on during the presidential campaign: Barack Obama's ties to ACORN. Stanley Kurtz and some other bloggers are doing some great research and uncovering more on characters like Patrick Gaspard. Ever heard of him? He is the White House Director of Political Affairs. He also has extremely close ties to ACORN and its CEO Bertha Lewis. Here's an example of what I mean:

So it's of interest that in late 1995, just as Obama was seeking New Party endorsement in Chicago, Patrick Gaspard was working as a New Party organizer in New Jersey. (This was reported in "Jersey Man Hopes to Create Third Political Party," NPR, "Morning Edition, " September 28, 1995). Then, in the July 2, 2001 issue of "The Nation," Gaspard and Bertha Lewis jointly published a reply to a June 4 Nation article by Doug Ireland which had been critical of the New York's Working Families Party (a successor to the New Party, led by New Party co-founder Dan Cantor, and largely controlled by ACORN and the SEIU). In the course of their letter, Gaspard and Lewis describe their extensive joint involvement in Working Families Party activities. The letter is signed: "Bertha Lewis, ACORN, WFP; Patrick Gaspard, SEIU State Council, WFP." This does seem to confirm and extend the new evidence of a close political tie between Patrick Gaspard and ACORN's Bertha Lewis.

We'll keep an eye on this folks. In the meantime, here's more.

You do know who Hannah Giles is, don't you? She's the 20-year-old who posed as a prostitute in those videos that exposed Obama's favorite community organizing group, ACORN, and brought them down. Now Dana Loesch at biggovernment.com is reporting that liberals are out there turning over leaves and busting their sensitive arses trying to uncover some lewd or naked photos of Giles. They just can't stand being exposed as the libertine, immoral bums we know them to be ... now they can't rest until they've brought Hannah Giles down. Politics of personal destruction, anyone?

PRINCESS NANCY GETS TEARY-EYED

Is Nancy Pelosi losing it? Or is she after an Oscar? You saw here, didn't you? There she was yesterday during her weekly press avail getting all weepy-eyed over the harsh rhetoric aimed at her party's attempt to take over our health care. She says that she's afraid that all of this rhetoric is going to lead to violence. Here's her statement:

"I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw ... I saw this myself in the late '70s in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and ... I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made." Some of the people hearing the message "are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume."

So what is she referring to? The murder of gay rights activist Harvey Milk.

The Republicans aren't taking too kindly to this comparison. Rep. Jeff Sessions called Pelosi's comment a "verbal assault on voters." He says, "Voters are justifiably frustrated with Washington, and the Speaker's verbal assault on voters accomplishes nothing other than furthering her reputation for being wildly out of touch with the American people."

You'll remember yesterday that I told you the left was engaged in a mental and emotional breakdown. Here they are almost nine months into the hopey-changey thing, and they've done nothing. Card check, nationalized health care, cap-and-tax ... all losers so far. Democrats are beside themselves. Earlier this week they were telling us that all of their wonderful ideas for America are being rejected because the people just don't like a black man in the White House. Now they're telling us that all of this opposition to these wonderful leftist programs are going to lead to violence and political assassinations.

Can't wait to see what's next.

ACORN JUST KEEPS ON GIVING

Clearly we know of the recent scandals involving ACORN ... unless you have been living under a rock. Or you are Charlie Gibson. But at any rate, it turns out that after all the fuss and calls for ACORN to sue FOX News ... ACORN can't legally operate in the state of Maryland. Here's the deal:

According to the following documents, ACORN, Inc. - the parent organization of all things ACORN - forfeited its corporate charter in Maryland in 2006. ACORN Housing forfeited its corporate charter in 2008. Any ACORN office in the state of Maryland is potentially operating illegally.

This leads me to the latest Republican endeavor ... defunding ACORN. House Republicans have introduced the Defund ACORN Act to make sure that ACORN does not receive one more penny from the taxpayers.

This, as we've already pointed out, is most certainly based on racism.

If the Democrats treat this the same way they have treated Republicans proposals, bills and amendments on healthcare ... it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

ACORN STRIKES BACK

The mainstream media also had a hard time covering the ACORN scandal that hit last week. To my knowledge, FOX was the only channel carrying the story that went a little something like this: James O'Keefe video tapped his counseling session with an ACORN employee. He posed as a pimp and brought along a "prostitute" and was advised by an ACORN employee how they could get loans for their prostitution business, etc.

Somehow, the revelation of this video turned into an issue of race.

Here's a statement released by Margaret Williams, a board member of Maryland's ACORN office: It is clear and not coincidence that FOX continues to attack and divide our nation along racial lines. We believe our country is beyond this type of attack and call on all Americans to demand that FOX stop its racist coverage.

Here's another statement from ACORN's chief organizer Bertha Lewis. She says that conservative forces were conspiring to make ACORN the "Willie Horton for 2009." She also says, "We are the boogeyman for the right wing and its echo chambers."

The latest? Now ACORN is claiming that the video was altered and in no way represents what went on in that office in Baltimore.

Meanwhile, the fallout from this ACORN expose is not looking good for James O'Keefe. He is now facing the prospect of being prosecuted by Baltimore City's State Attorney. His crime? Violating a Maryland law that makes it illegal to tape someone without prior permission. If he is convicted, he could go to state prison for five years.

Isn't this just rich? O'Keefe vividly illustrates for the American people the essential corrupt nature of the ACORN organization .. and now he's facing the possibility of criminal prosecution. The ACORN workers who aided and abetted the illegal prostitution business? They can't be prosecuted because the only evidence against them was illegally obtained .... In Maryland you can't videotape someone without their permission.

Something good has come from this whole episode. The Census bureau has informed ACORN that they will have no role assisting the federal government in the 2010 Census. I say watch this one closely. The Obama Administration is going to do all it can go inflate the census numbers in minority areas, especially Hispanic areas, so we'll see if this ban of ACORN actually holds. My guess? ACORN will be up to its usual corrupt tricks during the Census. We'll see if I get a big "I told you so" on this one.

ACORN

You know the story by now. Some independent filmmaker and a 20-year-old flatbelly walk into an ACORN office in Baltimore. They're there for some tax help. ACORN, you see, will help people with tax forms ...for a fee. He tells the ACORN workers that he's a pimp and the girl is his prostitute. They need help in reporting her income. The ACORN workers don't bat an eye ... they suggest that she should report here income as a performance artist. Then it gets good. They tell the ACORN staffers that they're bringing in some "very young" girls from El Salvador and the girls will be turning tricks for them. Now understand what we're talking about here .. slavery. These young teens will be held and forced to work as teen hookers for this guy. What did the ACORN workers do? They offered some advice to the "pimp" and his "prostitute" on how to hide these girls and get some tax write-offs for their care.

This is ACORN folks. These are the people who are under investigation throughout the country for voter fraud. These are the people who nurtured our President as he community activated his way to the White House. These people are crooks. Their very reason for being is to destroy the fabric of our country in order to prepare us to be a nation of government.

What did ACORN have to say when the video surfaced? They called it "gotcha journalism." What in the hell does that mean? I guess it means that a journalist checks out an organization that is receiving boatloads of public funds to see what they'll do if presented with a clear-cut plan for sex slavery and child exploitation. Then the journalist finds that the organization seems willing to actually help the bad guys get away with their scheme! Then the journalist spreads the word ... and this is "gotcha journalism?" Well then I guess you can say that I love "gotcha journalism."

Oh ... and ACORN fired the two workers that were involved in this mess. But don't expect anything to change here. It will be ACORN business as usual. And prosecution? Are you kidding? Do you think that the federal government would even consider prosecution for aiding and abetting? Are you forgetting who's in the White House and who is running Justice?

DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS ONE?

It happened last night. There was debate on the floor of the House over some amendments to a spending bill. The amendments were offered by Republicans and concerned funding for ACORN and an investigation into Nancy Pelosi's problems with the CIA.

As I understand the story, the Democrats announced that there would be no more votes that evening, and Republicans started heading home. When enough Republicans were gone the Democrats headed back to the House floor and called for a vote to end debate on all amendments to the spending bill. Republicans scrambled to get back into the House, but it was too late. Democrats saved Pelosi and ACORN with their little chicanery. For now.

Guess who has joined the global warming movement? ACORN. Yep, your friendly community organizers and voter fraud organization has decided to throw its efforts into the global warming movement. This is according to the World Watch Institute:

Brian Kettenring, ACORN's deputy director of national operations, said his group - the largest grassroots community organization of low- and moderate- income people in the United States - was inspired to join the Climate Equity Alliance and work with groups such as the Sierra Club after seeing the vulnerability of cities such as New Orleans to rising sea levels and more intense climatic events. The group, which lobbies for affordable housing and improved education in urban areas, is also encouraged by the hope of "green jobs," environmentally sustainable employment opportunities.

"ACORN families understand that building a green economy that's sustainable and builds jobs for working families is good for them, good for the environment, and good for communities," Kettenring said.

ACORN's contribution will include direct lobbying of Congress. In the long term, Kettenring expects more ACORN chapters to become involved in green jobs initiatives, such as efforts to collect federal funding for weatherizing urban buildings.

Now where in there do you see any concern for the environment? None. It's not about that. It is about gaining power for your segment of the population. More specifically, it's about gaining some control over the government's use of power. That's all that this global warming movement is about ... it is a fraud and a scheme created to empower people who would otherwise be selling Che Guevara t-shirts at a street fair.

THE CENSUS

I know that a lot of callers have said that census workers have begun to knock on doors. The latest story about the census comes from Kansas where a woman says a census worker asked her some questions beyond the typical "how many people live in your household."

Kim Mertin says that the census workers asked her if she'd like a backrub and it she "was wearing pink undies." Who knows ... maybe these are the kinds of details the new administration is looking for. Either way, Mertin closed the door and called the police.

My first gut reaction to this story was that this census worker was clearly a fake, an imposter. But Mertin got ahold of the Census Bureau and it turns out that the man is really employed as a Census worker.

I suppose that is what you get when you team up with organizations like ACORN to hire your Census workers.

THE WEALTH-ENVY CROWD OUT AND ABOUT

Did you hear about these protesters in Connecticut over the weekend? Some protestors went to the houses of AIG executives in Connecticut and they came up with this brilliant battle-cry ...

"Money for the needy, not for the greedy!" Now there are some brilliant government-educated ignoranuses for you.

Are these people really this brain dead? There is no doubt that these were Obama voters. If you heard some of the comments from the protesters, they spoke of "sharing the wealth" and moaned about the size of the houses. (That's called wealth envy, by the way.)

And then we find out this little piece of information about these protests. They were organized by The Connecticut Working Families Party. And guess what? It turns out that this party was jointly founded by ...... ACORN! Imagine my surprise.

HOUSING IS A RIGHT

And if that interview wasn't bad enough, check out this Fox Business News interview with the executive director of the New York branch of ACORN. The whole interview is worth a read or a listen. It is laughable - the stupidity of this woman who genuinely believes that we have a right to a house in this country. Yes .. I said stupidity. You can fix ignorance. Here's just a short snippet:

Bertha Lewis: Housing is a right.

Stuart Varney: It is not a right.

Bertha Lewis: Yes it is.

Stuart Varney: I've read the Bill of Rights, I've read the Constitution, no where does it say that housing is a right.

Bertha Lewis: Yes it is.

Stuart Varney: Can you show me? Which page? Which line?

Bertha Lewis: Well we have the right to the pursuit of happiness.

Stuart Varney: You have a right to a house? Where does it say that?

Bertha Lewis: If you're a hard working American and you pay your taxes and you do the right thing you do have a right to protect your home.

ACORN BACK IN THE NEWS

During the election, we heard a lot of stories about one particularly corrupt organization known as ACORN -- Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. The organization is now under investigation for voter registration fraud in the wake of this election .. registering Mickey Mouse, the entire Dallas Cowboys team, dead people, people who don't exist. If you didn't have enough reason to love the democratic process, ACORN really left a sour taste in our mouths during this election.

So now, ACORN is getting the thanks that it deserves for electing Barack Obama. I'm not saying that this was in any way condoned by Barack Obama .. but ACORN organized a massive, often fraudulent, grass roots campaign to get Barack Obama elected. And it worked. And here comes the big "thank you" from the Democrats in Congress.

ACORN could be eligible for billion in aid from the economic stimulus plan. You know that plan that is supposed to turn our economy around and provide jobs? Yep, that's the one. Somehow, providing aid to ACORN is going to kick start our economy. At least that is what the Democrats want you to believe.

Here's how it works. The economic stimulus bill provides $4.19 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities." Yup! There you go! We're going to stimulate the economy with "neighborhood stabilization activities." Pretty darn specific if you ask me. So this money for "neighborhood stabilization activities" was originally intended for state and local governments. But the Democrats want to make it available to non-profit entities as well, which means .. tada! .. that ACORN would be eligible for the funds.

Just what this country needs .. using taxpayer money to fund an organization under investigation for voter registration fraud. And that is just the beginning of its troubles.
